This week’s FeatureFriday is Bay Street Theater whose 2017 season is underway. The clips below are from Intimate Apparel, by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage and directed by Bay Street’s Artistic Director Scott Schwartz and starring Grey’s Anatomy’s Kelly McCreary! This seasons lineup also includes As You Like it, a comedy by William Shakespeare featuring Tony, Emmy and Academy award winner Ellen Burstyn, followed by Kiss Me Kate, starring Melissa Errico and Richard Troxell. Bay Street is also offering brand new teen programs, master classes and summer theater camps this year.
Let’s not forget, Bay Street Theater’s 26th Annual Summer Gala is happening this Saturday at The Dock House on Long Wharf, Sag Harbor in SagHarbor to benefit their educational and theatrical programs. The evening will include special appearances and performances by Broadway stars to honor Board Member Christine Wächter-Campbell and Bill Campbell, patrons J.C. Compton and Nicholas Wentworh, and Broadway director Michael Wilson.
